A little bit about me.  My name is Thea Zagata and I’m the founder of Pesce PR.   I spent the first ten years of my career working for several full service Public Relations agencies in Manhattan including Ketchum Public Relations, EURO RSCG Magnet, and, most recently, DeVries Public Relations.  This has allowed me to gain an extremely varied background – from food (Frito-Lay, Tropicana) to beauty (Olay) to fashion (Levi’s) to toys (Mattel) to health care (Pfizer) and more.   A sampling of my experience includes:

Three years ago, I followed a burning desire to start my own business.  I launched Gumdrop Cookie Shop (www.gumdropcookieshop.com) in 2007.   I knew that securing publicity for my business and receiving third party endorsements was an excellent way to increase my sales at a small cost.  In the short time that I've owned my business, I've secured placements in Bride's, Martha Stewart Weddings, OK Magazine, The Today Show, Cookie Magazine, Real Simple, InStyle.com, Daily Candy, Cool Mom Picks, The Knot.com, Urban Baby, and more.  You can check out more press for Gumdrop Cookie Shop here. 

Through this experience, I’ve met other small business owners who have asked for my help to “teach” them how to secure their own press.  Thus, Pesce PR was born.
